"Mendon-Upton Solarize Mass Plus has launched and all Mendon and Upton residents and businesses are welcome to take advantage of affordable clean energy.

"Local volunteers have been working for months with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) to organize affordable, competitive and quality renewable energy options for Mendon and Upton residents/ businesses. This program is a cooperative effort between the state, local officials, clean energy technology installers, volunteers, and residents coming together to spread the word on the environmental and economic benefits of clean energy technologies. "

"Officials and volunteers from the two towns opted to sign up for all six technologies offered through the program. Those include solar panels, solar battery storage, solar thermal hot water, air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps and electric vehicles.

"Don’t be surprised to see more solar panels popping up on Mendon and Upton rooftops, or electric vehicles on local roads, in coming months.
